Emergency Access and Egress Assessment

Relevant Layout and Elevation drawings will be reviewed against the MAH scenarios that have been identified in the QRA, Fire and Explosion Analysis, etc.

The following steps are to be performed:

  • Suitability and adequacy of escape and access routes within each unit and buildings were checked in terms of having at least two independent paths of escape against the MAH scenarios analysed in the QRA.
  • Continuous connectivity of access to the Primary Muster Point (PMP)/ alternative muster points (AMP) is checked.
  • Escape and access route dimensions are checked against standards and best practice with regards to the number of personnel associated with the different phases of the project.
  • Road access way dimensions were checked for unhindered entry of Fire Fighting Vehicles and at least two independent routes for Fire Fighting Vehicle access.
  • Suitable Alternative Muster Points (AMP) may be identified and presented, where necessary.
