This newly created business development role will be instrumental in helping to grow our Environmental and Safety Consulting business in Pakistan and GCC Countries. They will also work with the other team members to establish best practice business development frameworks across the organization. Further, they will partner with Operations Staff to ensure that consultancy work that is sold is delivered in a timely manner and meets the client’s expectations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads, coordinate meetings and proposals, and conduct follow ups to meet sales targets
  • Drive further sales development of clients through direct client contact as well as staff mentoring and coaching. The goal will be to develop new client relationships, capture follow-on work, expand service offerings through cross-selling with existing clients, and support value propositions
  • Act as client advocate within PetroRisk, providing client feedback on changing needs, trends, expectations and satisfaction and keeping clients informed of significant issues that might affect them
  • Develop and maintain our Customer Relationship Management system to track leads and measure sales performance
  • Prepare proposals, including estimate of work scope and price, presentation process, and management of client relations to ensure complete satisfaction
  • Maintain a high profile externally and through membership/attendance in HSE industry functions, continually increasing contact base
  • HSE project management and coordination of project teams including serving as a Client Steward (Account Manager) for key accounts
  • Provide sales leadership, and make new and existing client sales
  • Meet sales objectives, maintain sales plans, and update sales forecasts
  • Perform project management, and customer management
  • Mentor other consultants in their specialty areas
  • Provide quality review

Education:

  • An MS in a science-related field or MBA is desirable.

  • Client Engagement & Project Mobilization
    The Environmental Specialist will enjoy direct contact with our clients for all aspects of project acquisition through to delivery, including negotiating service agreements, overseeing assignments from start to end, preparing / reviewing key project deliverables, ensuring timely issuance of invoices, organizing the team and joining in on site visits.
  • Business Development

Capitalize on existing PetroRisk client relationships to expand the company’s profile and market share in the energy market that result in significant net revenue growth.

  • Leadership 
    As a passionate leader of a growing team of Environmental, Health & Safety specialists, you’ll be involved in the management of the Lahore office. Quality team meetings, one to ones, and internal management meetings to make decisions on allocation of resource to projects, identify training requirements, and making a case for new hires as appropriate.

Qualifications & experience 

  • MS in Environmental Engineering or sciences, health & safety subjects
  • A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), environmental & social due diligence and audits
  • Consultancy, contracting and / or operational experience
  • Experience of working on several projects, managing teams, and maintaining excellent client relationships

– Fire Risk Assessment (FRA)
– Fire and gas Mapping Study
– Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Study
– HSEIA and Safety Case Development
– Participation in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, PHSER, SIMOPS, MOPO, ENVID, OHID workshops
– Identification and development of safety critical elements (also referred as HSECESs)
– Writing technical reports; proposal preparation
– Other HSE, Process Safety and Asset Integrity Related Activities.

Qualifications & experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited University.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a refinery, fertilizer plant, oil/gas industry.
  • Excellent communication and technical report writing skills;
  • Proactive, fast learner, self-motivated characteristic with good organizational and team working skills;
  • Experience with oil and gas projects is preferred.
