Mr. Afaq has over eighteen years of experience in operations, process engineering & operations management, process engineering design, process safety and risk management. He is a recognized expert in process safety. He has provided risk consulting services to chemical / petrochemical plants, refineries, pipelines and upstream & downstream oil and gas companies.
Mr. Afaq is highly experienced in Hazard Identification (HAZID), Hazard & Operability (HAZOP) study, Safety Integrity Level Assessment using LOPA, SIL Verification, Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS), Constructability Reviews, Control HAZOP (C-HAZOP) and Project HSE Reviews.
Mr. Afaq has acquired various international certifications in process and functional safety including TUV Functional Safety Certification Course for Safety Instrumented Systems, SIL Verification & Calculation – Functional Safety Certification Course (Risknowlogy) and Hazard & Operability Study training from ICI.
Mr. Afaq has travelled world-wide and he has successfully completed HSE consultancy projects in France, Spain, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman & Tunisia.
